Athletics vs. Rangers

Not a very meaningful series, but the A's and Rangers are playing a four-game series right now. Oakland took the first two games, winning 6-5 on Thursday and 11-9 last night. Today, they'll look to keep their modest two game winning streak going by sending Joe Blanton (13-9, 3.77 ERA) to the hill against Brandon McCarthy (5-9, 5.04). Oakland needs to win 8 of their last 13 to finish at .500. Can they start things off with another win over Texas today?

Let's face it. The only people who are interested in this game will be people who have fantasy players on their teams.

Well, they managed to take 3-of-4 from the Rangers. However, they've since dropped two straight to Seattle, for what that's worth.
