The Flop at the Trop

"The Flop at the Trop" - that's what the Oakland Tribune is calling the A's weekend series against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

According to an August 27 Tribune article, "Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Devil Rays before 19,044 at Tropicana Field showed the A's can't just trot their best out to the mound and expect good things. After sweeping three in Toronto and routing the Rays in Thursday's series opener,the A's dropped three straight to the American League East cellar dwellers." Ouch. How in the world do the Athletics rebound from that?
