Reports are coming out of Oakland that ex-MLB pitcher and one-time Texas Rangers pitching coach Orel Hershiser will interview for the Athletics open managerial position. The Bulldog is currently an ESPN broadcaster, and according to the AP, he is scheduled to meet with A's general manager Billy Beane "sometime during the week of Nov. 6."

So what do you think? Would Hershiser make a good manager in Oakland?

I don't know much about his managing style or anything like that but I'd assume he would make a good manager. He's a smart guy and has tasted success so players would listen to him. And being that he's a pitcher you'd have to think he knows how to use a bullpen.
