Could Dusty Baker replace Ken Macha as the manager of the Oakland Athletics? That's what recent articles in the Rocky Mountain News and South Florida Sun-Sentinel suggest. According to the latter source, Baker "certainly would listen if the Oakland Athletics or San Francisco Giants contacted him about their managerial openings." So do you think it'll happen?

Unless the As haven't updated their website, it is indeed Geren, which means there's always hope that Joe Torre will tell Steinbrenner to shove it and The Boss will hire Baker.

What's also funny is that Yahoo doesn't list Piazza as a catcher. They list him as an "Other Hitter". Must be a new position I've not heard of... *L*
