The Athletics currently have a magic number of two to clinch the AL West. They've lost three straight, including a 10-9 loss to Seattle in 10 innings last night. This is getting pathetic. Great line in an AP article about last night's game: "The Oakland Athletics have had their champagne on ice so long, they might wind up celebrating with bubbled popsicles."

So, are these guys going to be able to clinch anytime soon, or what?

Yup.

In my opinion, Lefty Noob, the Angels don't have a chance. They had a good start and all but just collapse towards the end of the season. Same case with the NL West/NL Wild Card chase. I check every night to see where my Dodgers stand.
