New York Newsday is reporting that the Mets are looking to raise ticket prices.

Word is the median ticket cost will be about $30, but that some seats are spiking by a good 20% or more in value. Too steep?

This is the final year for Shea Stadium (and as long as the team is good) people will come out to check out the team and bid farewell to the old ballpark.

Then again one year from now, the tickets for the (smaller) CitiField will go up.
