After all the hype, all the buildup, the opening game is tonight! Who is excited and counting the hours till 8 o'clock? How are the Irish going to fare?

Scary game... Georgia Tech has talent at wide receiver in Calvin Johnson, a 6-4, 235 pound junior. The Irish secondary wasn't very good last season, so they get tested right off the bat with Johnson and Reggie Ball at QB. I'm not necessarily predicting the upset here; I'm just saying the Irish better be careful.

I'm expecting Notre Dame to run away in this game and a competitive game it will not be. Far from a potential upset.

I hope you're right! But I worry about that big WR Lefty mentioned. I love college football, too. Four hours until kickoff. I also can't believe I spelled believe like that!!

14-10, Notre Dame, but Georgia Tech has the ball midway through the fourth and Reggie Ball just made a nice 19-yard run. Definitely a closer game than a lot of people though, Empire, but on the broadcast they said the Yellow Jacked defensive coaches studied that Ohio State bowl game from last year intensely, looking for things they could do to slow down the Irish offense. It's worked pretty well, hasn't it. Will Notre Dame be able to pull with one out?
