| Heisman frontrunner Brady Quinn Vegas has confirmed what we've all known for months -- Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn is the odds on favorite to win the Heisman Trophy this season. According to my sources, Quinn is a 2.5-1 shot to take home the honor.
No doubt that he's a worthy candidate. Quinn already holds school records for most passing attempts in a season; most pass completions in a season; most pass attempts in a game without an INT; highest passing yards per game average, career; and most touchdown passes, game. Last year he also set new single-season records with 450 pass attempts, 292 completions, a 64.9-percent completion percentage, 3919 yards, 326.6 yards per game, and 32 touchdowns. Quinn's 158.4 passer efficiency rating is also tops among all Irish QBs who attempted at least 100 passes, and against BYU he broke a school record by throwing 6 touchdown passes in a single game. So the Heisman is basically Quinn's to lose at this point, right?
