Re: Notre Dame bias in Heisman voting?

Hmm... three of the six Heisman Trophy trust representatives have ties to Notre Dame, according to this article: "First you have Pat Haden, NBC's color analyst for Notre Dame football games. Then Don Criqui, the new voice of Irish football on Westwood One radio. And finally there's ESPN analyst Beano Cook, who once predicted former Notre Dame quarterback Ron Powlus would win multiple Heismans."

Does that mean Brady Quinn has an unfair advantage in the 2006 Heisman Trophy balloting?

Re: Notre Dame bias in Heisman voting?

I am in total agreement. Not that Brady Quinn won't produce, I thought he was outstanding last season, but it seems like everyone else at this point is a distant second in terms of preseason favorite. It is difficult enough having to compete with a talent like Quinn, but when everyone wants a Notre Dame player too win, it seems slightly unfair to the Troy Smith's, Steve Slaton's and Kenny Irons' of the world.
