IrishBlood81, you are so correct in your statement quoted above. I totally agree with you that it is a lose-lose situation for the Irish. Worse yet, it is already percieved as loser-loser contest. This game, on a national forum, will serve only those nationally who will view the outcome of this contest as further evidence of the decline of Notre Dame in college football. I would have declined the offer exception for the money and the players. It is a tough situation to be in. Just maybe the Irish will trounce Hawaii, just maybe!

Hawaii is physically VERY strong, and savage with their hits. Protection of your QB is going to be ALL important. I want you guys to win this. I want Notre Dame back as a national power where they BELONG, imo. One step at a time, just like Bama did this year. We were focused and that was probably the most important thing we did. Execute, and stay focused, and we had a lot of people dissing us all year. We didn't listen, though.

This right here is why Charlie Weis needs to go, After Iowa I would say Notre Dame is my favorite team and guess what, the Hawaii Bowl aint good enough Charlie needs to go

Who knows? They could fire him mid-season. I really can't see him staying much longer. I'm sure it has to be the contract buy-out problem, or else he'd be gone already.
