Schrage takes over as the 19th baseball coach in Notre Dame history, replacing Paul Mainieri, who left the Fightin' Irish for LSU. According to this story, "He spent the past four seasons at Evansville, taking the Purple Aces within two games of the College World Series last season. Before that, he coached three years at Northern Illinois and nine at Northern Iowa." Good hire for the Irish?
