SOUTH BEND, Ind. - From the weak side, Notre Dame forward Rob Kurz swooped in, elevated well beyond his usual three-phonebooks level and emphatically swatted away a DePaul shot attempt Sunday.

Kurz's brow furrowed, his chest swelled and his jaw set to work. He barked at the shooter. He bellowed toward the Irish bench, which came unglued. The words "not in my house" may have left his lips.
