Peoples finally providing some energy

PHILADELPHIA - Spying teammate Jon Peoples on a baseline chair at the Joyce Center, escorted away from pre-practice shooting for an interview, Notre Dame forward Ryan Ayers made both a quick detour and an observation.

"It's about time!" Ayers said, dribbling past and grinning.

Peoples returned the smile. To say the former St. Joseph star guard has arrived is a sizable overstatement, considering the most persuasive evidence is limited to one afternoon: His energetic 12-point, 5-of-6 shooting effort against Georgetown last weekend.
