The answer to your question is a resounding, "NO!".

Yeah, and I agree with you. I mean, there's always the hope that the Bruins can lay an egg like they did against Utah, right? Right?

I think ND can pull it off. If they start Sharpley. He showed some very good things against Purdue. I think Charlie has finally got something going. UCLA better watch out.

UCLA leads Notre Dame, 6-3 in the 3rd quarter. Talk about a boring game lol.

Notre Dame needs a win here, they can't lose a game like this.

Re: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. UCLA Bruins

Holy cow, where did this come from? Especially that second half performance - down 6-3 at the half, the Irish score 17 unanswered points? And they win the game, despite only having 140 total yards of offense, because they were able to force 7 turnovers, score a defensive touchdown and pick on a walk-on quarterback? Well, it was an ugly win, but a win's a win when you're 0-5.

I think an ugly win is still a win for the Irish...they will take what they can get this year. But really, what happened to the offense in this one?

Now lets see what happens when they play a team with a Quarterback

UCLA was down to their third-string QB due to injuries, so I guess that was ultimately the heart of the problem for the Bruins.

Any given Saturday! Let's see what they do against BC. If they make a good showing or win, then, maybe they are starting to turn the corner. Another "W" prior to the "patsy" part of their schedule could get them 6+ wins and an "invit" since it is ND and that's means a good fan following and big $$$. Isn't that what FBS all about?

I just thank heaven Charlie Weis believes the right thing to do is win one game at a time. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Yeah, I guess technically they could still become bowl eligible. Scary, ain't it?
