According to the rumors page over at Yahoo! Sports, "Backup guard Chris Stewart might soon become the third player to leave Notre Dame's program this season. The sophomore was excused from practice Thursday for ''personal reasons.' The South Bend Tribune reported that Stewart was returning home to Texas with the intention of transferring, though his family is hopeful he will return to Notre Dame." Wow, this is tough to take. Rats off a sinking ship?

Yes. it looks that way...now if it starts to effect his recruiting class for 2008 then you really got to worry.

That's a shame. It's a rebuilding year and I use that phrase in every meanin considerin the state of the team right now. Those kids need to give it a shot. You won't have great seasons every year... Hell look at Kentucky. Point is they shouldn't give up. Then again, I don't know if I would want a player that bails when the goin gets tough.

88, what gives you the sense that it is due to ND having a rebulding year as to a reason for transfers this season? Just curious!
