How sad is your team?

You do know Regis showed up to give your team a pep talk. Who is next Bill Clinton or Barak Obama? Seriously fire Charlie Weis and give your boys a chance to forget this season.

Cool Re: How sad is your team?

It doesn't matter who coaches this team. They'll never be able to compete on a high level for long. They're recruiting policy is too strict compared to other colleges, so they'll never have the best talent.

Schools like Florida, Oklahoma, USC, would let a plant in if they could play football.

Our Team is Proud

Try to remember that this is COLLEGE FOOTBALL, and not FOOTBALL COLLEGE. Every one of the Notre Dame players will graduate with a degree worth its weight in gold, whether he ever plays football again or not. Notre Dame is not the NFL minor league, it is a first rate private university which also happens to have a pretty strong athletic program which fans and alumni rally around. I challenge any other school to compare the percentage of its athletes who are still productive members of society ten years after they finish school.

Stoney, you Bama fans are talking a lot of smack at 3-0, with the Irish having a rare off year. How quickly you forget the past several years, and the scandals your illustrious football program. It's easy to kick another team when they're down on the field, but never forget, this was you under DuBose and Shula. The Irish will be back, mark my words.

Think they will damage Jimmy Clausen before they get there?

That's what worries me. I hope he's not going to be damaged goods by the time the rest of the team catches up with him.

See, that's the reason I would have red shirted him...not take the beating he is taking...that can't be good.

No argument here. I was in favor of putting the red shirt on him too.

Apparently you don't understand how much people relished our troubles. Well Saban wants Notre Dame on the schedual the problem lies with Notre Dame avoiding us.

What do you base your knowledge on? Quote: I challenge any other school to compare the percentage of its athletes who are still productive members of society ten years after they finish school: Unquote. Where is this study so I can evaluate it for myself?

I'm still interested in locating the study you are basing you statement on. You aren't a ND fan with green-colored glasses that isn't capable of seeing anything but perfection in South Bend are you? Guess what? The wheels are coming off, no, the wheels are off the wagon this season! And, the "offensive genius" isn't looking like he is really the great improvement most of us were searching for after the loss of Willingham's talent.

Exclamation Studies

As far as I know no one has studied the question of where college players are ten years out. Have you? I understand NCAA only looks at whether the athletes graduate or not. That was the point of my challenge.
