The media is so busy fumbling over themselves with glee that ND is this bad, they aren't even paying attention! Then Bob Greise chims in saying that the only TD this year came on a kickoff return! It was an interception return dumbass!

National TV...you're bound to have the national announcers get details wrong. It's like that in every sport.

Just have to grit it out and hope the local guys are actually good (usually they are).

It is always a little harsher on the teams that are supposed to be good. The Irish are the Yankees of college football. They are the most scrutinized team out there. They have their own TV deal. They are going to be praised until you get sick when they win, or they will be abused when they lose.

Yes the media is stupid.... everyyear Notre Dame is ranked finally they are exposed. Now the media has to be furious after all they gave Notre Dame its own TV deal. Consequently the team is having expectations placed upon them. Weis is a failure... The team is not a team but a collection of prima-donnas. They came to Notre Dame seeking thier own glory and a shot at the NFL. Now they are just trying to "Uh..uh get away from the pain that you drive into all of me. Once I ran to you, now I run from you this tainted love you give me take my tears and that's not nearly all... Irish love...Irish love... Baby baby where did our love go? Don't you need me don't you leave me no more..." Irish fans get used to losing you may not even beat DUKE. Never thought I would see this kind of season.

Listening to broadcasts and reading stories in the newspaper, it's getting to be an increasingly painful experience. So many hacks out there these days. Yes, everyone makes mistakes from time to time. The ESPN.com thing is particularly bothersome because someone wrote it, then it got past at least one (and probably more) editors before it was posted. Griese, at least, has the excuse that he was broadcasting live. I wouldn't say the media is stupid. Just sloppy.
