2007 Notre Dame Football Record

Based on what we know so far, what will the 2007 season record be for the Notre Dame football team?

Most disappointing team in I-A. Not worst. Worst would either have to be Temple (who lost 42-7 to BUFFALO yesterday) or Duke (losers of 22 straight games, and winless vs. major programs since 2004). Anyway, Michigan will win next week. Notre Dame can't stop Mike Hart and the running game.

It's a shame Hart is bogged down on a bad team this year.

Well, looking at the rest of their schedule.
09/15/07 at Michigan Ann Arbor, Mich. 3:30 p.m. ET
09/22/07 vs. Michigan State Notre Dame, Ind. 3:30 p.m. ET
09/29/07 at Purdue West Lafayette, Ind. TBA
10/06/07 at UCLA Pasadena, Calif. 5:00 p.m. PT
10/13/07 vs. Boston College Notre Dame, Ind. 3:30 p.m. ET
10/20/07 vs. USC Notre Dame, Ind. 3:30 p.m. ET
11/03/07 vs. Navy Notre Dame, Ind. 2:30 p.m. ET
11/10/07 vs. Air Force Notre Dame, Ind. 2:30 p.m. ET
11/17/07 vs. Duke Notre Dame, Ind. 2:30 p.m. ET
11/24/07 at Stanford Palo Alto, Calif. TBA

Michigan is a loss (they can't stop Hart). Michigan State could be a possible win since it's at home. Purdue I think is a game they'll lose, as they can't stop Painter and the passing game. UCLA, BC, USC are all losses. Navy, Air Force, Duke and Stanford are games they could win. I've got the Irish finishing the season going 5-5 in their last 10 games. That might be overly optimisitic, though. The Spartans, Middies and Falcons could easily change this into a two win season.

The Irish will go 4 and 8 or 5 and 7 this season with "give me's" over Navy, Air Force, Stanford, and Duke. They may have a good chance to sneak up on Boston College or UCLA, IMHO.

I think they'll lose one of those last four games though.

That USC/ND game should be interesting...to see how many points SoCal can put up.

I think you're underrating Navy and Air Force, my friend. Yeah, Navy just lost, but they're talented, and the Falcons just beat TCU.

At this time it appears the final score won't be pretty if Carroll doesn't show some mercy.

You make a good point but they just don't have the manpower to handle a program like ND even when the Irish are very sick. They may kept the games closer than anticipated by most but I don't think they will win. BTW, I have been wrong before, but not as much as my wife would claim!
