Demetrius Jones to Running Back?

Given how poorly the running game was last week, do you think the Irish should try Demetrius Jones at running back?

Maybe next year. Jones would have to start this year putting on weight and learning RB fundamentals. He is athletic enough to do it, but MUST put on weight.

No, the backs are fine - it is the o-line that needs improvement. If he can gain 100 pounds and learn how to run/pass block that would be good. The runnign backs actually look good when given a chance. The O-Line is critical.
Jones just needs to transfer.

Jones at RB? are you kidding me? do you think that will help. First thing that needs to happen is they need to quit the rest of the season. secondly, fire all the coaches and let all the players go and start over a new ND football program and maybe then they wont look as pathetic as they do right now or ever have for that matter.

At least you're not Michigan.

Seriously, based on the start of the season so far, click here & tell us what you think will happen the rest of the year.

It's funny you ask because i know how this season is gonna turn out for the pathetic irish. They are gonna lose to michigan 0-3 cause michigan is just as bad. then MSU will beat them 50-0. then purdue will beat em, then they will lose the rest of their games. Yes, even navy, air force and duke will beat em.

Why not? Better to try something than to quit, as you suggest.

Guys like this don't quit, they take their lumps and try to get better. And they will get better.

Come on, you can't honestly believe they'll lose to the same Duke team that's lost 22 straight. Admit it, you're just making outlandish statments like this trying to get a rise out of the Irish fans. ND might not get bowl eligible but they won't finish winless.

You are right Lefty, ND wont lose to Duke (if the good lord has anything to do with it). But ND has yet to impress me with their rookie QB and their shaky defense. Most of Clausen's completions were swings or screens with minimal gain. Not to say PSU's offense looked spectacular, but the Irish were worse, in almost every way.
Everybody knows i dont care much for the Irish but they do have a history of great football teams and they will eventually bounce back, maybe not next year but somewhere down the road. They started out the 2001 season 0-3 under Davie, but then came back the next year under Willingham and won their first 8. So you never know with these guys, it's sorta hit and miss.
