He looked like he was either going to have a heart attack or stumble and fall on him face. I swear they should just let him coach til he drops dead on the sidelines, which by the look of him could be sooner than later!

In other news, the FSU-Clemson game actually turned out to be quite a nailbiter.. Since I live in FL I had to adopt a team (Well I didn't really HAVE to but it's a heck of a lot closer to drive to Tallahassee than it is to South Bend, lol) and FSU was my choice..(If it comes down to it, OBVIOUSLY ND has my heart) I was at that game last year, with the same results..oh well, it looks like my college teams are going to sucks this year.. my only football hope is going to be the Patriots now, lol

Then you would have Nittany Lions singing "Prop me up beside the jukebox when I die". Joe Pa would love nothing better than to live out his last days beating the Irish.

Indeed Stoney! And by the way FSU is playing, Jo Pa might even pass.. Haha I just thought of a brilliant name for him.. Bo Bo!! *Dies laughing and runs to inform ESPN* He may even pass Bo Bo for winningest coach in Div 1 history cause it's pretty close isn't it?!

I just had a huge fight last night with a guy at work about Weis.. He said we just should have kept Tyrone as coach and Weis hasn't done crap yet and I'm like "Dude, he really hasn't even gotten to the kids he recruited yet !"
Weis is the man, it's gonna happen for us- And with his lengthy contract he's gonna be around for a while (hopefully) I feel like I'm going to spend this entire season defending him, which I will.

Yeah, but he would've won the Heisman AND a NC playing for Pete @ USC.......

IF he ever got into a game. Look at that kid Moody, the tailback that just transferred out of USC. They were 10 deep at the position!

When Charlie Weis took the job at ND he never in his worst dreams imagined opening 0-2 but that is what is getting ready to happen today.

He had to consider this was a posibility after losing as much offensively as he did. The Irish need to be more patient with him than they were with Willingham, though. He may have one or two bad years while he's grooming his recruits along. Everything will be OK in the long run; just don't panic, Irish boosters.

It is kinda funny Alabama fans and Notre Dame fans probably have the lowest tolerances for losing coaches. At these programs you win or walk away.

Very true, very true. Willingham really probably should've had another year, and anywhere else, he probably would have.

I can see this is the first year that I will enjoy NBC's weekly coverage of the Leprechauns. What a treat to watch Michigan humiliated once again, and then see Leprechaun guts squished all over the field at our beloved Beaver Stadium. All the papists around here will be doing a lot less bragging when this one's over!

Re: Fighting Irish vs. Nittany Lions

Hello All,

I am a new member but a life long ND fan. Charlie Weis says that this isn't a rebuilding year, but let's be real, that's just what it is. We are taking our bumps and bruises this year. Jimmy Clausen is going to be a great QB at ND, but right now he is in that same learning stage Brady Quinn and all the other great ND QBs had to go through.

I think the O-line and RBs have to step up to another level. When a team doesn't have balance on offense it struggles. It has been that way since the start of this great game of football. The one shining star this year will be the defense. It has stepped up and in two games and gave the offense chances to make games of the two loses.

This isn't a rebuilding year it is a demolition year the crack in the golden dome is way too obvious. They could possibly go without a win at this pace.

Re: Fighting Irish vs. Nittany Lions

Notre Dame sucks. They are as bad as michigan is. it's a shame one team will win next week when they both deserve to lose. Well, atleast one will win one game this season.lol. and the other will lose all of their games. man, they both suck bad.
