Charlie knows that it's not fun to not be controverial otherwise less people will pay attention to the program in South Bend. Charlie planned this before the season with his coaching staff to have a bad season so the bookies will give up Notre Dame to lose in 2008 and when this happens, Charlies and the betting boys can win big and retire with a nest egg. This is so obvious that I can't believe you are all gripping and cannot see the writing on the wall. Just hang in there and wait to see what really happens in the 2008 season.

I think you've been watching too many JFK consipiracy theory documentaries. Weis is trying to win. He just has a crummy team.

You are telling it like it is and hit the nail right on the head. Problem is, ND is stuck with Charlie for six more years or they will have to rob the Pope to pay Weis to go elsewhere. I guess that's a valid point, but he's having the worst season in Notre Dame history. They never started 0-4 before, and every game he loses now, he's going to be breaking his own record. I definitely think fans have a right to be unhappy with the way things are going. You don't pay a coach this kind of money to go 0-5 after having a very highly-ranked recruiting class.

Every time I see the scores on Saturday and I see that Notre Dame has lost, I smile. I've said for years that they had the most overrated program in college football. Now it is being shown.

Notre Dame has not had a good coach since Lou Holtz. When they fired Lou I just knew that the program was in for many years of grief. Bob Davies sucked, Tyrone Willingham sucked, and Charlie Weis is getting what he deserves for coaching for and with a cheater named Bill Belichick. We have not been in this bad of shape since Jerry Faust. We need to clean house and bring Lou Holtz back!

Unregistered, more than likely the chances are you will be correct. With the softening of the Irish schedule and Weis being in the fourth season of his program, there should be considerable improvement in the "W" column in 2008. If not, Weis can start packing if I know anything about the expectations of the ND fan base.

I tend to agree with the minority here, let's see all the Weis hate next year after he gets his recruits in the program after a year. He's got a ton of freshman playing, this was bound to happen.
