| Fighting Irish vs. Yellow Jackets The 2007 Notre Dame football season kicks off this Saturday as the Fighting Irish host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Coach Charlie Weis has decided who will start at quarterback for him, but he's keeping it under wraps. Regardless of who it is, the Irish have a tough game ahead of them. According to Rivals.com, "Georgia Tech has a new quarterback and lost wide receiver Calvin Johnson. But the outstanding defense returns virtually intact and the offense boasts a 1,473-yard rusher behind four returning offensive linemen with 113 career starts." Can the Irish pull out a victory in this one?

| Re: Fighting Irish vs. Yellow Jackets Not sure - I figure he had to have told the QBs which one is starting, but he's definitely keeping the rest of us in the dark. As for the Jackets, don't sleep on James Johnson at wideout. I hear he's pretty good. But yeah, if they had CJ, this wouldn't even be a contest, considering how suspect the Irish secondary is. As good as the new Johnson is, I don't think he can stretch the field like CJ did. |

| Re: Fighting Irish vs. Yellow Jackets If he doesn't say who the starter is until game day, don't you think that will have a bad effect on whomever the QB is? Why spend the whole week and gameday doubting whether you're playing. That's why I have to assume he at least told the guy he plans to start. |

| Re: Fighting Irish vs. Yellow Jackets Just heard the ultimate word on this game from Weis himself. When asked what went through his mind when he watched the gametape, he replied "I wanted to vomit." Just heard that on ESPN Gameday, so there you go! |
