Sullivan named captain

Fifth-year senior center John Sullivan has been named as a fifth captain for the Fighting Irish football squad, joining John Carlson, Travis Thomas, Tom Zbikowski and Maurice Crum Jr. as team captains. Sullivan has started 21 straight games at the position and has played more total games than any other player on the ND roster. Good move naming him a captain, don't you think?

I think it is a good thing. Sullivan is one of the hardest working players on the team in the off-season and is the type of linemen the Irish need on the team. He is nasty in the real sense that Weis has repeated said ND needs on the field to win.

With all the penalties the Irish are accummulating on the field this season it is just too bad some of the players have taken it literally.
