Nick Saban stepped up and said "Put Alabama on the schedual" the Irish ran screaming saying thier schedual was full already. Charlie Weiss is feeling the heat but dropping quality opponents for cupcakes ought to be a sign of just how weak the Irish really are.

Well, Stoney, actually it was AD Kevin White who said that, not Charlie Weis. He was referring to the fact that he had longstanding rivalries and existing committments. Besides, they just signed Oklahoma and re-upped with Michigan, both of whom are better teams than the Irish. And Nick Saban speaking through the media doesn't constitute anything official - Mal More should've called White himself if they were really serious about doing anything and not just getting headlines.
