Notre Dame hasn't won a postseason game in 13 years, since the 1994 Cotton Bowl. Seven of the nine straight defeats have come by two or more touchdowns.

Saban knows football and is willing to put it out there on the line. Anyone who has followed college football all they way back into the 60's knows how Notre Dame has avoided Alabama like the plague saying they didn't play in bowl games.
