Charlie Weis isn't a god

Despite what all you Notre Dame fans think,Charlie Weis isn't a god, just an average coach. This year ND shouldn't have been in a BCS game, they don't play any body other than SC and Michigan. They lost both of those games by more than 20 pts.Unless something changes quickly this year will be just like before Charlie Weis got there.

Please don't fire Baby Huey! Any coach who, when criticized, holds up a super bowl ring, like that makes him an authority, can't be all bad (for the other teams!)

And how about that "classy" qoute this weekend?

Please, don't get rid of this clown.....

Thumbs down Re: Charlie Weis isn't a god

Weis is incompetent!!! ND should never have gone to a BCS game under Weis, but face it the NDers have enough clout with the network mouthpieces to keep the propaganda going. And that Super Bowl ring seems to me people talk more about the New England defense than the Pats offense. His comment after the UCLA game "I'm going to answer that very cautiously, because I don't want to be called sarcastic using New Jersey rhetoric," he said. "So let me just say people better enjoy it now, have their fun now." shows why they are in trouble now. He kept Brady Quinn in games way to long to pad his stats instead of developing younger players. Wait his players are no good cause if they were they would be starting/playing. At places like Florida, Florida State, LSU, USC, and even stupid Lloyd Carr at Michigan will play the more talented player regardless of age or classification. It boils down to this Weis has not brought in better players. This number one class that is coming I doubt it another media hype job.

Regardless of the idea that Charlie have not brought in more talented players than were presently on the team, he still, supposedly, brought in better players than the teams the Irish face. Ane he still lost the games! IMHO, Weis is use to recruiting talent rather than developing it. So, ya, he brings in highly trouted and rated recruits but fails to develop them for college level play. In the pros he could buy the talent but in college talent has to be developed.

Re: Charlie Weis isn't a god

If you worked with Bill Belichick, apparently you are supposed to be a genius. I wonder how many people that hung around with Albert Einstein became brilliant as well. Weis seems to be in way over his head here.

Yeah, Weis is struggling, Romeo's been struggling since Day 1, now Mangini seems to have issues... Belichick's disciples do not appear to be "all that".

The one where he said "Everyone of youse guys whose is enjoying ND troubles had better watch out."

Okay, he didn't actually say it quite that way, but, geez, a little humility would go a long way. Maybe actually taking some of the blame.

Sheez.

Again, PLEASE don't fite this guy. We really need him where he is....

Re: Charlie Weis isn't a god

Wow.....As a buckeye, and a retied Navy man, I must say I am truly loving Baby Huey. But I can't believe his post game comments. Especially where he acts like snapping a 43 game winning streak is trivial.

It isn't. And while I am sorry about the players brother who was shot to death, these are the Midhipman of Navy that Baby Heuy is talking about. How many of their friends, family members, and even their own number have been wounded or killed in Iraq or Afganistan?

Your coach is a classless piece of poo. To say that he wanted a win over Navy to console your running back, at the expense of these men who have or will soon be serving our country just shows how this Joisey Boy needs to go back to being a staffer so he can accumulate another three rings. He has proven that he can ride someone else coattails, but he has yet to prove that he has the talent, pr the character, to coach a program like Notre Dame.

Again, I don't normally support your team, but I have always admired your program. You used to play classy, clean football.

PLease, ditch this guy and get someone who you can look up to. Winning isn't everything, but you guys aren't even losing with any dignity.

Signed;

A Buckeye, USN(Ret)
