NEW YORK - Brady Quinn was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Quinn became the first Notre Dame player to be taken in the first round since Jeff Faine was drafted with the 21st overall selection by Cleveland in 2003 and the first Irish quarterback drafted in the first round since Seattle chose Rick Mirer with the second overall pick in 1993. By being drafted 22nd overall, Quinn became the 59th Notre Dame player ever selected in the first round.
The Dublin, Ohio native broke 36 school records and ranks in the top-10 in the NCAA records book in career passing yards, passing touchdowns and pass attempts and ranks 11th in career pass completions. Quinn was a two-time captain and won 29 games as a starting quarterback, tying him for first at Notre Dame with Tom Clements and Ron Powlus.
