Notre Dame QB could go as high as second or as low as 10th in NFL ...
ChronicleHerald.ca, Canada - 1 hour ago

NEW YORK — Casual fans didn’t discover JaMarcus Russell until the Sugar Bowl last January. Neither, apparently, did some NFL scouts — not to the extent that they’re on to him now as the likely No. 1 pick in Saturday’s draft.

In those three-plus hours, Russell’s 332 yards and two touchdown passes carried LSU to a 41-14 win over Notre Dame. That performance helped propel him to the top of the 2007 NFL draft class over the presumptive heir to that spot, Notre Dame’s Brady Quinn. Never mind that LSU was simply the better team, Quinn’s 15-of-35 for 148 yards with two interceptions put a huge question mark after his name.

So the top of the NFL draft is about the two quarterbacks, notwithstanding the fact Georgia Tech’s Calvin Johnson is conceded to be the one "can’t miss" player — perhaps the best at any position in the last five years or so.

Re: Brady Quinn NFL Draft

The speculation's almost over, and tomorrow we find out where Quinn goes. Will it be Cleveland or won't it? I don't think they should (too many other needs to fill first), but the experts all seem to think they probably will. And if it's not Cleveland, then who?

No please!..not Cleveland... I am gambling on buying his 2006 Press Pass cards...I need him in a popular team where I can resale him for a tidy profit... ...even Detroit would be better for me...(cause it' all about me, right?)

Post Brady Quinn Drafted By Cleveland Browns With 22nd Overall Pick In 2007 NFL Draft; Vic

NEW YORK - Brady Quinn was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 22nd overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Quinn became the first Notre Dame player to be taken in the first round since Jeff Faine was drafted with the 21st overall selection by Cleveland in 2003 and the first Irish quarterback drafted in the first round since Seattle chose Rick Mirer with the second overall pick in 1993. By being drafted 22nd overall, Quinn became the 59th Notre Dame player ever selected in the first round.

The Dublin, Ohio native broke 36 school records and ranks in the top-10 in the NCAA records book in career passing yards, passing touchdowns and pass attempts and ranks 11th in career pass completions. Quinn was a two-time captain and won 29 games as a starting quarterback, tying him for first at Notre Dame with Tom Clements and Ron Powlus.
