Will Yeatman Up to the minute news about Notre Dame from GoTeamsGo. We'll find the latest Notre Dame news so you can chat about here. Quote: Double duty: Lacrosse, football at Notre Dame
Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, IN - 1 hour ago
SOUTH BEND – Today might be the most trying day of Will Yeatman’s athletic life.
The Notre Dame freshman will play lacrosse at 11 a.m. against Lehigh at Cartier Field. Then he’ll participate in the Blue-Gold spring game, scheduled to begin at 1:35 p.m. in Notre Dame Stadium.
“I’m going to have to go with the flow on that one,” said Yeatman, who plays attack for the lacrosse team and tight end for the football team. “I really don’t know what it’s going to be like yet. It’s going to be a whirlwind day, that’s for sure. It’s going to be pretty fast-paced.”
This isn’t new for Yeatman. All spring, he’s been shuttling from lacrosse, which is demanding and can become physical as he is checked with opponents’ sticks, to football, where he is hit by teammates. Often, he’ll go from playing lacrosse for No. 11 Notre Dame on Sunday to football practice the next day while his lacrosse teammates take the day off.
This, though, is what he’s always wanted all along.
