| The Post Lou Holtz Era Interesting stat on ESPN's Mike & Mike in the Morning just now. With last night's Sugar Bowl loss to LSU, Charlie Weis is now 0-5 against teams that finished in the Top 10 and 0-2 in Bowl Games. In fact, since Lou Holtz retired, according to what they say, Notre Dame is winless in both categories. Will Weis be the one who can get this turned around finally?

| Re: The Post Lou Holtz Era Those stats really are unbelievable. ND has not been a consistant top 20 team in, what, 12 years? Think about that for a moment. 12 YEARS. And yet, they still get ink. Quinn is the best QB in the country? Weis is one of the best coaches ion America? What? Weis makes one hell of a O Coordinator, but he is simply in over his head running a program. He desperately wants be be in the mold of Parcells, Bill B, Bon Knight. A gruff SOB who wins. Unfortunately, he's missing one small piece of the equation. Weis needs to not let his ego get in the way of running a program. He needs to keep his comments to the media to a minimum. He's not proven one single thing as a head coach yet. He might someday, but I see no signs of progress being made. He loses a ton of offensive tallent and next year might be a tough one in South Bend. |
