This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. The Irish didn't look like they had a good recruiting class and that they might have a big struggle this year. Well the exceptional early play of Freshmen F Luke Harangody and G Torey Jackson, the Irish pulled off a stunning upset in Washington, D.C. last night winning 81-74. Now I still feel Notre Dame will struggle immensely with their upcoming Big East schedule, this will be a big win for any hope of making the NCAA Tournament!

I didn't get to see the game. How good do you think Maryland is this year? How good/bad do you think the Irish basketball team really is?

Notre Dame has been really up and down this year. They played great at points but then they look human at other times. They lost to Butler, and at first I thought that was a crushing blow, but now Butler has gone on to win a number of big games in a row. But I think this is a big confidence builder for Notre Dame, because I think Maryland is and will continue to be a good team. I think this game came down to Notre Dame catching Maryland by surprise, but still a big win....
