| Re: Notre Dame RB Jim Stone In 1980, Stone took over for an injured Phil Carter, and had 220-plus yards against a tough Miami defense, and according to this story, "He ran for over 100 yards in each of Notre Dame's next two games (including a 122-yard performance against Army) before topping the 200-yard mark again in his fourth start, with 211 yards against Navy." He wound up leading the team in rushing with over 900 yards that year and spent a cup of coffee in the NFL. Anyone remember this guy? |
