Post Notre Dame at Air Force

Here's a look ahead to the Nov. 11 game between Notre Dame and Air Force

Quote:
Rumble In The Rockies: Notre Dame At Air Force Available On Line :: Irish - Falcons matchup, also on CSTV, will be available on pay-per-view.

- CSTV: College Sports Television will broadcast the Notre Dame at Air Force game on Saturday, Nov. 11 (4:00 PM, ET). This game marks the only time this season that a cable network will broadcast a Notre Dame football game. CSTV is currently available through cable operators across the country and also on satellite via DISH NETWORK and DIRECTV. CSTV is offering a special Sneak Peek programming offer to its affiliates beginning Friday, Nov. 10 and will continue throughout the weekend, which will ensure that CSTV, and the Notre Dame @ Air Force game, will be seen in 22 million incremental households.

Surprising that a Notre Dame game would be forced onto cable, but then, I guess most people expect this one to get pretty ugly. What do you guys think about this one? Will the Irish have any trouble against Air Force?

Re: Notre Dame at Air Force

Wow, Air Force may wind up being a tough foe for the Irish after all. Did you guys see the whuppin' they put on Army this past Friday? The Falcons won the game 43-7, and according to the Associated Press, their defense was unreal. "Air Force won 43-7, scoring 34 points off five first-half turnovers by the Black Knights, four of which came on consecutive plays from scrimmage." So, any chance they can pull off something like that against the mighty Fighting Irish offense?

Re: Notre Dame at Air Force

Charlie Weis discussed the Air Force game during his weekly press conference on Nov. 5.

Sounds to me like he's concerned about stopping the Air Force option attack.
Quote:
Have you watched this quarterback from Air Force? You want to go stop the option for us? This kid's pretty good now. This quarterback is pretty good. There will be some restless nights around here because this quarterback is pretty good.

We don't think that way. We don't talk that way. We know that that game is three weeks away. We're cognizant of that fact. It isn't like we're oblivious to it. Our film breakdown guys have their weekly games to break down. We know what they are.

Realistically, we lose to Air Force, Army, think about how much less importance that game will have. You better be worrying about Air Force. That's what you better be worrying about. That's what we will be worrying about. We'll be worrying about Air Force.
Notre Dame's defense hasn't been great... do they have anything to worry about on Saturday?

Post Notre Dame at Air Force recap

Up to the minute news about the Notre Dame football team.

Quote:
Irish Cruise Past Falcons 39-17 :: Darius Walker rushes for 153 yards and a touchdown in the win.
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) -Efficient and effective just like Brady Quinn envisioned, the ninth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish manhandled Air Force 39-17 Saturday for their eighth straight road win.

The Irish (9-1), who secured back-to-back nine-win seasons for the first time in 13 years, struck early and dispatched the Falcons (4-5), who never could capitalize on their ball-control option offense that kept Quinn & Co. on the sideline for much of the game.

Four touchdowns from Quinn and 150+ yards from Darius Walker. Nice day for the ND offense!
