Don’t know about ya’ll, but I tire of Charlie Weis. All the big talk but I see little action. Notre Dame has got to be the worst 5-1 team. The one big team they faced crushed them and Georgia Tech took it to them. If not for a stupid mental mistake (helmet-to-helmet hit by Ga. Tech) Notre Dame would be 4-2 or worse! No matter the stats and the scores – the offense looks slack! The defense couldn’t cover my wife! Three words sum up this season: Heisman, Boxing and Baseball! I hope I am wrong, but I have a feeling that USC will crush Notre Dame (like Michigan did) and whatever BCS game they luck into will probably result in another embarrassment. Perhaps we got another Davie/Willingham?

Charlie isn't much to look at, but I think he's a very capable coach. What you have to bear in mind is that he is still working with Willingham's recruits. They were recruited for a different offense than the one Weis would prefer to be running. It will take awhile for Notre Dame's roster to get to the point where CW will be happy, so Irish fans will just have to be patient. I really like his command of game situations, especially where it comes to punting or going for a first down. He is also imparting a spirit of "never give up," as the Michigan State game showed. He isn't going to get any easier on the eyes, so you'll just have to like him for football reasons, I guess.

I think it's safe to say Weis isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He's ND for life.

And why hate on the guy? Sure the team may be underperforming but we'll see how they do against USC. That's really the only test left. And they should still get to a good bowl game.

Just keep in mind, these aren't Weis' recruits playing yet. He's turned Willingham's recruits into something they weren't..... all it takes is patience

Yes, that's right. By next fall he should be fielding his own recruits covering the team by half (est.)... also that he only been coaching for 2 years so it usually take time for a new coach to completely turn the team around. But so far he has been remarkable comparing our old coaches before him except Holtz.

Then why complain on his part since we should be much glad by now?
