| Re: Pete Duranko Notre Dame ALS Nice story here about former Notre Dame football player Pete Duranko, a member of the 1966 national championship team. He has ALS and is wheelchair bound, but he's nonetheless been a tireless crusader and fund raiser. "Six months after I was diagnosed, there were times when I would be down and I would cry,'' Duranko is quoted in this story. "Then I had a chance to really reflect on things... and I made my mind up to go out, start raising money and helping people." Great story, eh?
