The only thing that makes this a good game is the fact that you have two mediocre teams playing each other. They only won 8 or 9 games between them last season. Notre Dame in the Hawaii Bowl big joke. Team with a losing record in a bowl game I don't forsee anything different from these two teams this year either. Must see TV I think not. I got two spare suitcases in my attic I have a feeling a couple coaches might be needing them

squirrel man I guess you have't heard all the hype from Jimmy Clausen, Charlie Weis, & Dr Lou. Notre Dame as some great weapons on offense and a better defense, finally, and they are aiming for a BCS game. The game against USC is going to really test them. Yes Notre Dame beat Nevada, but Nevada was suppose to have a really good offense and it was going to be a shootout, but Notre Dame shut them out. No other team in the top 25 shutout the team they were playing so I think that does mean something.

That's squirrel girl and like you said its all hype. Wasn't Charlie and company spewing the same nonsense last year? Don't get me wrong I would like for Notre Dame to put a team on the field that is worthy of a bowl appearance I just don't think it will be this year

I didn't buy the hype last year. I thought they should have been better, but not a BCS type of team with a bunch of Sophomore/2nd year players. I did think the defense should have improved last year, like it looked against Nevada the past weekend, so I was more let down by the defensive play last year.

Now I buy in the hype this year because this is the time when things usually click for freshman starters. Usually their 3rd year they click and the Junior/3rd year and Senior/4th year they strive. Brady Quinn came alive in his 3rd year.

Now this year is his make or break year, because he has had numerous top 10 scouting classes.

We're winning with 2 minutes to go and this idiot calls a play that almost ends up in an interception and takes only a few minutes off the clock.

what the heck ever happened to clock management and smart football.

I blame that Jack-ass for today's loss!! We could have snuck out of there with a win and instead here we are right where last year began.

Even the Michigan QB said he didn't know why Weis was calling pass plays in that situation because it allowed Michigan to keep their time outs which helped during the winning drive. This coming from a freshman QB. Maybe he should be coaching Notre Dame?

Yeah, that was as boneheaded a series of play calling as I've seen in years.
Did anyone ask him about it during the postgame presser? What did he have to say for himself?

I missed the end of the game because I was working, but a buddy of mine who's an impartial party (a Miami fan) told me the officials missed a big holding call on the TD to win the game. I didn't see it on any replays I saw, but I've only seen them online and they're all grainy. Anyone else see what he saw?
