Baylor Bears have a new coach as of last year and sure like their progress in recruiting and although they finished last again were at least competitive most of the year, they are showing signs of turning the corner. Now when or if this happens is anybody's guess. Irish scheduling of Baylor next year may backfire on them.
Hey, I have been hearing that ND has been trying to soften up their schedule a little bit lately. There is nothing wrong with this as I see every other team in the country doing the same thing with moderation. They play the PAC 10 4 times this year including USC Trojans and was joked they might as well join the PAC 10. |
You're right in that ND could join the PAC but they also could join the Big Ten (ur.. Big Two or maybe Three. LOL) as they play Michigan, Michigan State, Purdue, and Penn State.
It is true that many top programs are lightening up their schedule to assure themselves a minimun of 6 W's so they can get to a Bowl Game. I still remember then the Irish played anyone, anywhere, and anytime, and anyone who was anyone. They didn't duck anyone and actually looked for the better programs who could match up to their's. But, I guess those day have long since passed (198

and it doesn't look like they will ever "return to glory" especially with Weis at the helm.
