| Re: North Carolina Tarheels vs. Boston College Eagles So UNC & Hakeem Nicks put on an impressive show saturday against Boston College saturday. They walked away with the 45-24 win and became bowl eligible for the first time since 2004. Nicks had 8 catches for 139 yards and 2 td's and also had 3 rushes for 31 yards and 1 td (mostly on in and arounds and reverses). Cameron Sexton finished the day with 19/30 completion day with 238 yards passing, 3 tds and no interceptions. Brooks Foster (who is starting in the place of the injured Brandon Tate) came away with 7 catches for 64 yards. UNC also added to their NCAA leading Interception total with 3 pics on the day (2 by Kendrick Burney and 1 by Trimane Goddard who returned his for a touchdown). Goddard is also tied for second in the ACC in interceptions with 5 on the year. Mark Paschal continued his spectacular play at Middle Linebacker with 10 tackles and Burney added in 8. The Heels have this week off and will return to action on November 8 against the 6-2 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. |
