Re: 2005 Tar Heels NBA Salary

The article discusses the pay vs. production of the four North Carolina basketball players who left school early and went pro after the 2005 National Championship.

According to this report, Marvin Williams of Atlanta made $3,888,000 for 8.5 ppg and 4.8 rpg in 24 minutes per contest; Raymond Felton of Charlotte made $2,850,000 for 11.9 ppg and 5.6 apg; Sean May, also of Charlotte, only played in 23 games due to injury and averaged 8.2 ppg 4.7 rpg for $1,620,000; and Rashad McCants of Minnesota earned $1,538,400 for 7.9 points and 17 minutes per game.

Will these guys get better? It's just rookie growing pains, right?

Felton clearly has the highest ceiling and I think he would have produced more impressive numbers if he wasn't backing up Brevin Knight for sixty games (They eventually started Felton at the two guard, where he flourished).

I stocked up on Felton cards...pulled a nice McCants auto card out of a box of Bowman, but I think I am going to sell it before he totally devalues himself...
