UNC Tarheels vs. NC State Wolfpack

The Tarheels (3-6) will be taking on the Wolfpack (4-5) on Saturday, Nov. 10 in Raleigh, NC. This game will be at 12:00pm and will be aired regionally on Raycom/LF Sports.

On a side note, this game means a lot to both teams. Both teams need to win their remaining games to be bowl eligible. So this is a very important game to both.

Re: UNC Tarheels vs. NC State Wolfpack

Well UNC loses to NC State 31-27.

I'm going to make one statement since I was able to watch the game on tv. With 10 seconds to go, UNC was on the 12 yard line about to score. They started the play and Hakeem Nicks was wide open on the 1 yard line, and Yates through him the ball. Before the ball got to him, the Linebacker #52 hit him and knocked him down. The replay in slow motion showed Nicks already on his way down as the ball sailed over his head. No flag was thrown.

I'll be honest, I usually don't knock officiating, even when the call goes against my team. But that call cost us the game. Nicks was going to score. ACC officiating has down right gotten awful.

Re: UNC Tarheels vs. NC State Wolfpack

On another note, UNC's senior Outside linebacker, Durrell Mapp lead the game with 23 tackles and 1 sack. He had a great game and was involved in on every play. Congrats to Durrell and I really hope you get a chance at the next level. Mapp was a walk-on at UNC who did not get a single d-1 offer but got some d-2 partial scholarship offers. Before today's game, he was #2 in tackles in the ACC with 89 tackles. The leader had 99. So, he could move to #1. Great game big guy!
