| Roy Williams - AP Coach of the Year Tar Heels head coach Roy Williams won a national title last year, lost his top seven scorers and still managed to go 23-8 and finished second in the ACC this season. For that, he was named Coach of the Year by the Associated Press today, edging out 2nd place Jay Wright of Villanova and 3rd place Bruce Pearl of Tennessee. Williams, also the AP Coach of the Year with Kansas back in 1992, is just the second coach to win this award with two different schools (the other being Eddie Sutton).      |
