In an effort to bolster its non-conference profile in women's basketball, the Big Ten has entered a four-year contract with the Atlantic Coast Conference to create the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The event begins next season. One of the 11 games has Purdue traveling to North Carolina on Nov. 29. It will be the third straight season the Boilermakers and the Tar Heels have played, the previous two coming in the NCAA tournament.
North Carolina has won the last two meetings.
"It's a great way to showcase and bring increased attention to our conference and our team," Purdue coach Sharon Versyp said. "Playing at North Carolina adds another tough game to our already difficult schedule, but these are the kinds of matchups that as a player you want to play in."
