Re: Tar Heels vs. Hoyas

This one should be a classic. I give the edge to Hansborough and the Tar Heels, though. What do you guys think?

UNC is back. Remember when Sean May and company went all the way?

Oh yeah. How does that team compare to this years, you think? What about May vs. Hansborough in terms of better player? I'd give the edge to the May team but to Hansborough as the better individual player.

Re: Tar Heels vs. Hoyas

This Carolina team isn't as tough as Sean May and company.

Re: Tar Heels vs. Hoyas

Great job by the Hoyas to come back, tie the game and then take it in overtime.

Now that will be an interesting game, versus Ohio State.

Tar Heels Fall To Second-Seeded Georgetown, 96-84, In Overtime In NCAA East Regional Final :: Tyler Hansbrough finishes with 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead North Carolina.
Georgetown overcame an 11-point deficit in the second half, then ripped off 14 straight points in overtime to stun the top-seeded Tar Heels 96-84 in the East Regional final Sunday for their first trip to the Final Four since 1985, when the coach was John Thompson Jr. and the star was Patrick Ewing.

The Hoyas (30-6) did it this time with coach John Thompson III calling the backdoor plays he learned at Princeton and Patrick Ewing Jr. making key contributions.

They were helped by a collapse from Carolina (31-7), which made only one of 23 field goal attempts, including its first 12 in overtime, over a 15-minute span.
