North Carolina Eliminated

George Mason played so well down the stretch, eliminating North Carolina, the defending National Champs. And to think...I thought GM shouldn't have even made the tourny.

Empire,

The more I watch this tournament year in and year out, the more I believe that there is not that much difference in talent. Matchups can make a huge difference though but the talent pool is terrific even in the lowest seeds.

Cool Re: North Carolina Eliminated

Roy Willimas was close to losing it. He punched out a chair. Carolina had very little ball movement. They were offensively stagnant.

Re: North Carolina Eliminated

It's true. There may be one or two dominant teams each year but the majority of teams are comparable in terms of talent. Blame the NBA, blame the culture of basketball in the US...but the pool is too polluted.

Empire,

I think the talent level is what makes the tournament so great and unpredictable.

Re: North Carolina Eliminated

Williams frustration is understandable. Carolina has a talented team, but a young one and they made a lot of stupid mistakes that inexperienced players do. Imagine how good they'll be next season if they somehow manage to convince most of the core players to return.
