UNC vs. Penn

Quote:
No. 2 Carolina (12-1) is coming off its ninth straight win, notching 81-51 victory over Dayton on Sunday. The Tar Heels will face Penn on Wednesday night in the Smith Center in what will be their last game before their ACC schedule begins on Sunday. The Quakers (6-5) are coming off a 94-85 defeat at Seton Hall on December 23. The Quakers have also suffered narrow losses to UTEP (69-66) and Villanova (99-89).
Finally, the last non-conference game. I'm so ready for ACC play. It's my favorite time of the year.

Re: UNC vs. Penn

Our defense has stepped up considerable since the Gonzaga game. I, too, am ready to see some ACC action.

The commentary on the game was funny. One of the announcers made a quip about a UNC player that needed to stop "using that weak Hubert Davis defense". Of course, Hubert Davis was one of the announcers. It caught him off guard (no pun intended).

Re: UNC vs. Penn

Well, he put subs in there. I was trying to figure out the connection. We don't usually play that many out-of-stake cupcake colleges unless there is a NC connection of some kind.

Re: UNC vs. Penn

the only thing I can see is that Dewey Burke is from Philly which Penn is close too, but I don't think they would schedule that for a major reserve senior.
