Wright Named Progress Energy Player Of The Week :: Freshman led Carolina to wins over Rutgers and Dayton.
Brandan Wright made 16 of 19 shots from the floor and averaged 17.5 pointsper game in two Carolina wins and is the Progress Energy Tar Heel of theWeek for December 25-31, 2006. Wright had 19 points, seven rebounds andthree blocks in an 87-48 win over Rutgers and had 16 points and six boardsin an 81-51 triumph over Dayton. The freshman from Nashville, Tenn., made 8of 10 shots against the Scarlet Knights and 8 of 9 against the Flyers.

Man I wish this kid would slow down. I want to see him in Carolina blue for atleast one more year, but at the rate that he is going, he will be in the NBA next year.
