MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Ivory Latta tied her season high with 21 points and No. 2 North Carolina won its 12th straight to remain undefeated with an 87-48 victory over Coastal Carolina last night.
Latta, who came in as the Tar Heels' top scorer at 14.2 points a game, was on target throughout. She hit 7 of 9 from the field, including two wide-open three-pointers, as North Carolina closed the first half with an 18-1 run.
Latta added a three-pointer, two foul shots and a driving basket as North Carolina took a 67-27 lead with 14 minutes, 32 seconds remaining.
Lacey Lyons had five three-pointers and 19 points to lead Coastal Carolina (5-4), which fell to 0-10 all-time against North Carolina.
