UNC vs. UNC-Asheville

Quote:
After a weeklong hiatus, Carolina returns to the court tomorrow at 2 p.m. against UNC-Asheville. The game marks the beginning of a stretch in which the Tar Heels will play 3 games in 6 days after playing just 2 games in the past 16 days.
Exams are over and now it's time for basketball. UNC will be taking on UNC-Asheville Saturday at 2:00pm. The game will be televised on FSN (Fox Sports South). I personally plan on being there if the guy who promised me tickets actually come through.

UNC-Asheville Game Guide :: The Tar Heels return to the court after a weeklong hiatus.

Re: UNC vs. UNC-Asheville

This game is going to be a blowout, just like last year.

Re: UNC vs. UNC-Asheville

They actually televised it here in VA. I've never seen so many 7 footers on the court at one time. I wasn't a close game which is not surprising. Roy said he wanted his team to play "quicker". Faster than they play already?

Doesn't UNCA have the tallest player in the NCAA? I think thats what they said.

Re: UNC vs. UNC-Asheville

Yes, I think they said that, too. He's actually one of the 10 tallest in the world. Can you imagine that? I mean he'd be a complete freak if it wasn't for basketball.

Rusty Clark, who was on the UNC team in the 60s, way before my time, is 7 feet tall, lives in my home town and I have to look way up. I'm close to 6 feet myself. That guy on UNC-Ash was 7' 6", right? He would not even be able to buy many cars out there. Shoes, pants, coats....everything would have to be custom made.

Re: UNC vs. UNC-Asheville

He's 7'6", and wears size 25 shoes. Because he doesn't stop growing, he has slow reflexs. He got the ball four times, and dropped in three times. He scored on the fourth.
