| UNC Takes A stand newsobserver.com | Paper both criticizes and profits from sports You guys should def read this article. The News & Observer which is about the biggest News Paper in North Carolina recently blasted UNC for the compensation package it has given to Butch Davis for coaching football. So Steve Kirschner who is the Director of Athletic Communications for the University of North Carolina wrote a nice letter in. The News and Observer is known to poke fun of local coaches and do daily writeups on how they should lose their jobs. But when a college makes a move in the right direction for that sport, the then turn and hit how much is paid to the guy. Bravo Mr. Kirschner for taking a stand.
