National Championship

So yesterday's wins and lose's have opened up the door as to who is truely deserving to play in the national championship. You have about 9 teams that have one lost. So who should it be. Every homer out there is going to say it should be their team and they are going to give you 1000 reasons as to why.

As far fetched as it may be, Boise State is undefeated and will probably end the season that way. I know they are not in a powerhouse conference (the WAC or MAC I think), but they have one out with the schedule they have. So why should they not get a shot. They have accomplished what they were asked to do.

They won't get a shot, cause you can't market and sell the game to as large a TV audience...nothing against Bosie, I once applied to school there...but its a TV marketing game , and they ain't welcomed.

Re: National Championship

Boise State is in the WAC, and it is for that reason they will not go to the BCS Title game. This one is as much about $$$$ as it is "who is the best team". I guessing either USC or Florida will play Ohio for the title.
Can't wait for the new BCS rankings, I'm sure they will start alot of "conversations".

Let me also agree with what everyone else is saying here. I promise you that Boise, if they do earn a BCS bowl bid, will be the last of the team selected. They will not bring in the ticket sales and the TV revenue that some of the other, bigger schools would. Quite frankly, none of the bowls will want them.

Oh I agree, but it's a shame that a team that does win out does not get a chance!

Its the same issues WVU faced, they would of had a hard time beating out a 1 loss florida, USC, Michigan for the number 2 spot at the end of the year. They were in postion yes, but if they beat lousiville it would of made rutgers loss over them that less impressive.

Boise States best win is against Oregan State, and Hawaii, Hawaii is ranked 25th, and OSU had a fluke over USC. Its just like Gonzaga in order to be considered that elite team they had to enter the big holiday tourneys and improve their out of conference schedule its the same thing boise state needs to do, they are the greatest show on smurph turf year in year out and they always bring weak team to their bowl games so they can beat up on them.

I know wvu is taking care of this they michigant state next year, and the year after that they add auburn. Has Boise State?

Im against watching them in BCS game as you can read in another thread, id rather see Oklahoma or WVU play(yes im a wvu studen) but do the majority of you really belive Boise State can beat any of the top 10 teams more then 1 out of every 100 attempts

I agree. They should go for a harder schedule. But who likes the BCS anyways. I know I don't!

That is how Bobby Bowden built the FSU program. He accepted any game that was offered to him. Eventually kids saw that they could play on the big stage and started signing up.

I don't like the BCS at all, but at least it gives the top 2 teams a chance to play instead of just voting on a champ. That was very unfair.
